Reporting to the Cross Functional Team Lead, Infrastructure, you will plan and schedule support for work requests, ensuring equipment is upheld in the most cost effective manner to help maintain the safe, environmentally sound and optimum performance..

Primary Responsibilites

  • Perform field walk downs of all jobs being planned to accurately account for all job steps, equipment and craft needs

  • Identify each job’s needs, which includes the necessary craft and anticipated duration required for efficient and safe execution

  • Plan work orders so they are released for scheduling with enough time for execution within the established dude date

  • Meet with internal stakeholders to gain planning input and support a team atmosphere

  • Interact with supply chain for materials, services and equipment availability

  • Build standard job plans for use on similar equipment in the future

  • Fix equipment notifications and work orders

  • Use software to generate and edit work orders as well as order materials

  • Use applicable work processes and standards to achieve desired results

Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • Maintenance planning and estimating experience is an asset

  • Maintenance and Plant Start-up Planning experience with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Mining and or Chemical/Refining industry.

  • Experience or knowledge of repairing appliances, plumbing, vehicles, fire systems, and heavy equipment is an asset

  • Post-secondary education is preferred

  • General knowledge of general construction processes, timelines, and job scopes is preferred

  • Knowledge of SAP or other computerized maintenance management system is an asset

  • Use and proficiency of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel required.

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, with an ability to work with and take direction from a diverse group of personnel

  • Ability to make independent and informed decisions regarding work plans, job scopes and material orders

  • Strong Communication skills, ability to communicate job status to key stakeholders and supervisor

  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete functional contributions, taking action to ensure results meet the area’s objectives

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • At least half of your time will be spent outside (in potentially extreme weather)

  • You will be required to climb stairs and ladders

  • You may be required to work night shifts and extended hours as required
